Children in tattoo shops.

I have put off writing about this for a while now. Let me first state that we here at Mercury Tattoo do NOT hate children. We have no problem with them, in fact, we are happy to have children attend our Annual Halloween Art Show Opening Party. However, children do NOT belong in the tattoo shop during normal business hours. Unless you are stopping in to say hello. Many of our friends and clients have really great children and we quite enjoy seeing them for a quick "hello" every now and again.

Parents, under NO circumstances are you permitted bring a child with you when you are getting tattooed. What I mean by a child is; any living human under the age of 18 years old. Please don't assume that they can "hang out" in the front room with me. I may be sitting behind a desk but I am WORKING. I cannot book appointments, answer emails and phone calls if I have to keep an eye on your child. And just so this is very clear, children are NEVER EVER permitted in the work rooms. I figured that we could avoid hanging signs all over the shop stating this but I guess we can't.

Our "no smoking" sign works like a charm, I found it at an Antique Shop. Maybe I can find an equally as cool "No Children" sign with a bulldog eating a baby? Probably not.
